project clean house:

confession: i am a terrible housekeeper. no really, TERRIBLE. cleaning is one of my least favorite
things to do. in the world. so a lot of the time it just doesn't get done. i'm not proud of this in the
least. i always wanted to have a home that someone could pop over at anytime and it would be
no sweat off my back. however if someone tells me they are about to pop over the sweat starts
pouring down my back because i know i have about 20 minutes to do a complete overhaul on
my house. not a good thing. so i've decided to try {again} and change this about myself. which
is why i created this "clean house" schedule below. praying this time i stick with it!
i know some of you creatives out there are looking at this thinking a schedule? for cleaning?
yeah that's not for me. well it's not something i would think fits my personality either but clearly
i haven't been able to keep a tidy home without it so...why not give it a shot eh? what's the worst
that could happen? my house doesn't get clean? well that is nothing new. have you ever tried a cleaning
schedule? did it work for you? or did you eventually shred it to pieces and flush it down the toilet?

haha ok nerd alert. I LOVE CLEANING lol. seriously it might be a bit of metal problem and at least once a week I go on a rant oh why do I even bother. OR didn't I JUST clean this room... :)

I never clean on sundays. ever. :)

I also suck big time at cleaning! My house is a disaster most of the time, and it actually really started to negatively affect my moods. No bueno! I found this site: http://flylady.net/ and it has helped me a lot to build routines and such (which is what I need lol). I like your cleaning schedule idea too! I think we all need some way to keep ourselves on track, cleaning wise :) Good luck!

As I'm a REALLY TERRIBLE housekeeper too, I think I'll copy your schedule...
It's really a great idea, and it's easy...

This is awesome! I have the exact same problem. I LOVE having things clean but I just hate cleaning. Especially the dishes and laundry. Those are the worse

I had a similar schedule that I hung on my refrigerator hoping it would be a good reminder... but life gets in the way (a lot) and I finally ended up tossing it!
Better luck to you! : )

I love lists to help me stay on top of things!! And I've found that the biggest part of starting something new like a cleaning routine is definitely sticking with it long enough. If I stick with it (and allow myself grace) eventually it becomes part of my life and schedule and no longer feels like a bummer :)
You can do it!! ;)

Hahah I need this too...I end up cleaning everything on Sunday and it takes WAY too long. I have to say cleaning is the worst job ever. Lol

Oh Steph, I can't tell you how many times I've made a cleaning schedule and promptly ignored it. I hope it works better for you. I too HATE when people want to stop by without prior notice. We bought a fridge in May and have one last payment then I'm buying a freaking dishwasher. Having to hand wash the dishes puts me in such a bad mood. I have no idea how people did it back in the day without modern conveniences. *sigh*

I can totally relate to this post! I've recently been contemplating a cleaning schedule. I need help staying on track in the cleaning department. Thanks for sharing!

I love it! I don't know if I would be able to stick to a cleaning schedule, but it's worth a shot.I keep a cleaning service in my back pocket for the weeks I just let it slide too badly.

I hope this works for you!
And if not the plus side is iyour cleaning schedule would look cute in a white frame? haha
I LOVE having a clean house but the truth is it hardly ever is because I too am the worst cleaner. I need a schedule or else I fall of track. I mustve made a dozen.

OK, I really love this schedule. I need to follow your lead and make one myself.
